MVP of the Week!

Help us celebrate the amazing volunteers, interns, and community members powering Eco GOLAZO! Every Friday, we will spotlight a new MVP whose hard work, leadership, and community engagement drive climate action and civic participation through the power of soccer.

This Week’s MVP: Eddie Morales (Georgia)

Eddie Morales is a dedicated volunteer from Georgia whose passion for community engagement and service has made a meaningful impact throughout the One Hot Summer campaign. A proud supporter of Mexico and a fan of Julián Quiñones, Eddie volunteers with Poder Latinx to help strengthen his community through civic engagement, environmental justice, and meaningful outreach. One of his favorite World Cup memories is attending his first watch party with friends, where cheering on the opening match and celebrating afterward showed him the power of soccer to bring communities together.
Eddie has gone above and beyond by attending more than 13 EcoPoder events, volunteering at over five community activations, and helping collect 30 Eco GOLAZO! surveys. His dedication, leadership, and enthusiasm for serving others embody the spirit of Eco GOLAZO! and community action.
