PODEROSAS
We are building a network of support for a new generation of Latinas to educate and mobilize their local communities to close the gap in civic participation and increase the political representation of Latinxs in the U.S.
ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP
The Poderosas Fellowship is part of Poder Latinx’s civic leadership programs, designed to develop leaders and inspire Latinas across key electoral states to take action through civic engagement. Through this program, fellows gain the tools, skills, and support needed to increase voter participation and drive meaningful change in their communities.
As part of this work, we are calling on all Latinas to join this powerful experience and build the knowledge and networks necessary to make a real impact especially when it comes to Energy Affordability and protecting families from rising energy costs. Fellows will be equipped to educate their communities on the challenges impacting their everyday lives, advocate for equitable solutions, and mobilize others to take action.
Our vision is for every Poderosa fellow to be empowered with the resources and confidence to engage their communities, help close the gap in civic participation, and increase the political representation of Latinxs in the U.S. while advancing critical issues like affordable, accessible energy for all.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
We are a unique action-oriented fellowship with access to tools and events that take our fellows, volunteers, and community at large beyond the lecture and traditional training. We are closing the Latinx civic participation gap and increasing our political representation via phone banking, voter registration drives, digital organizing, and taking leadership ourselves.
