NATIONWIDE- On Wednesday, the United States Supreme Court held oral arguments on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, regarding a Mississippi law that bans abortions after 15 weeks, only allowing them in instances of medical emergencies or severe fetal abnormalities. If the Mississippi law is upheld, this case has the potential to overturn Roe v. Wade, which has recognized abortion during the first two trimesters of pregnancy as a constitutional right since 1973. While a ruling is not expected to come until next year, it is anticipated that 6 Supreme Court Justices will rule in favor of upholding the Mississippi law and setting a new precedent that allows states to make decisions on the limits of this procedure.

She also founded Fair Count, which advocated for census participation.
