Poder Latinx Press Statement: A Call for Common Sense and Respect in Political Events and Electoral Processes

Washington, DC - After America witnessed a sad day in political history this weekend with a violent act during a rally in Pennsylvania, Poder Latinx condemns all violent acts against our democratic processes and political events. Armed violence has no place in our society, and our political differences should be resolved through constructive dialogue, proposals, and participation at the polls. 

We need to ensure that voters feel safe participating in the upcoming primaries and general election. This is the democracy we want and need to defend, and we urge all Latino voters and the community to conduct these processes in a peaceful, transparent, and respectful manner. 

With political party conventions starting today, we remind participants and supporters that our strength lies in unity and our commitment to democratic principles. Protecting human life and focusing on our communities' collective well-being is paramount.
