NATIONAL—Today, Latino voters across the country made their voices heard, sending a clear message that our communities are paying attention. From the Public Service Commission in Georgia to city council races in Yakima, to the Governor’s race in Virginia, Latino participation in 2025 shows that our vote carries power in every corner of the nation.

We know what’s at stake. Every person we elect makes decisions that shape our daily lives, from how much we pay for electricity to the opportunities our children can access. Our vote is our power: it decides who represents us, who stands with us, and who we will hold accountable.

Latinos are a growing voting bloc that cannot be taken for granted. We are using our power to elect leaders who understand and fight for our families, our neighborhoods, and our future. Building consistent civic participation ensures our communities remain visible, powerful, and central to America’s democratic story.

Latino voters continue to shape outcomes in states such as California, Georgia, New Jersey, Virginia, and Washington. These elections remind us that every race matters because local and state decisions set the foundation for national change.

“Latino voters are proving once again that our power doesn’t wait for presidential elections,” said Yadira Sánchez, Executive Director of Poder Latinx. “We’re showing up in every cycle, because every decision, from city halls to state commissions, affects our daily lives. This year’s elections remind the nation that we are watching, we are voting, and we are shaping the future together. The road to 2026 starts now, and we’re just getting started.”
