Poder Latinx to Host Economic Justice Town Hall in Honor of International Workers Day
The Digital Town Hall, “Derecho al Trabajo en Tiempo de COVID-19”, will Focus on Informing the Community About Important Resources Available Amidst the Current Pandemic
WHO: Moderated by Esteban Garces- Co-Executive Director, Poder Latinx. Speakers will include: Darren Soto, U.S Representative, District 9th (D); Amy Mercado, Florida State Representative, District 48th (D); Mayra Uribe, County Commissioner, Orange County Board, District 3rd (D).
WHAT: A Spanish-language panel discussion part of a larger series of digital town halls informing the public about local resources and Congressional efforts offering aid to displaced workers in the time of COVID-19.

WASHINGTON - Poder Latinx is excited to announce their upcoming town hall, taking place via Facebook live on Friday, May 1st, at noon ET where they will be joined by a panel of distinguished guests; Congressman Soto, Senate Representative Mercado, and Commissioner Uribe.
It is no coincidence that this event, “Derecho al trabajo en tiempo de COVID-19”, will be happening on May 1st - International Workers Day. This town hall will provide participants the opportunity to connect with local leaders and discuss the transformation of workers’ rights as a result of this pandemic.
