Poder Latinx Announces Collaboration With Arizona Dream Act Coalition to Provide Food for Those in Need

New Food Distribution Center Aims to Support Undocumented Immigrant Families and Those Affected by COVID-19; While Complying With Social Distancing Rules During This Time


WHAT: Drive-Through Food Distribution Event
WHEN: Fridays starting May 29th to June 26th from 1:15 PM - 3:30 PM

Phoenix, AZ - Today, May 29th, will be the first day of food distribution happening through the month of June made possible by a collaborative effort from Poder LatinxThe Arizona Dream Act CoalitionCorazon Latino, and Pro-Choice America. This free, drive-through event will take place weekly outside of the Arizona Dream Act Coalition office in Phoenix with the goal of providing a safe, secure environment in which community members can access fresh and nutritious food during this difficult time.

“This pandemic has impacted everyone, though not all equally. Poder Latinx is committed to helping those in need and hopes that, through this partnership, we are able to play a small role in addressing food insecurity in the greater Phoenix area while we continue to engage community members in advocacy," said Adonias Arevalo, Arizona State Director of Poder Latinx.
