Poder Latinx Urges Latino Voters in Texas and North Carolina to Head to the Polls in Primaries That Could Shape November Midterms
Washington, DC – Today, as polls open in Texas and North Carolina, an estimated 6.5 million Latino eligible voters in Texas and hundreds of thousands more in North Carolina are poised to help decide which candidates will appear on the general election ballot and shape policies that impact healthcare, education, wages, immigration, and everyday life. Poder Latinx urges all eligible voters in both states to participate in this crucial election that will mark important races for the midterm elections in November.

“Primary elections may not always get the spotlight, but the candidates who advance today will decide policies that directly affect our communities’ daily lives. From access to healthcare and affordable housing to safe schools, economic stability, and protections for immigrant families, these are decisions that matter. North Carolina polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. EST
