Poder Latinx Launches Nationwide Voter Registration and Mobilization Campaign in Six Key Cities

Washington, DC — Poder Latinx has officially launched its Voter Registration and Mobilization campaign in six major cities across the nation, as part of its crucial mission to empower the Latinx community by registering new voters and driving active participation in the 2024 election.

Beginning this week, teams of organizers, canvassers, and volunteers will be deployed across Latinx neighborhoods in Orlando, the Atlanta Metro/Gwinnett County in Georgia, McAllen/RGV area in Texas, Phoenix, Fresno and the Central Valley in California, and Yakima, Washington.  Beyond voter registration and mobilization efforts, Poder Latinx’s teams will engage in issue-based conversations with the community, emphasizing the importance of participation in safeguarding essential services and rights that many Latino families rely on —especially in the face of the proposed Project 2025.

"Every eligible voter must be informed, registered, and fully prepared to make their voice heard this November. By mobilizing our community to take action, we’re not just empowering them to vote—we’re fighting for our collective future. With looming threats like Project 2025, which could roll back the progress we’ve made in policies and protections at all levels, it’s critical for the Latinx community to stand up and be counted. Our focus is to ensure that every eligible voter is equipped with the knowledge and resources needed to make informed decisions at the ballot box and defend our democracy," said Yadira Sánchez, Executive Director of Poder Latinx.

Eligible individuals who have not yet registered to vote can do so digitally by visiting www.poderlatinx.org/vota (Spanish) or www.poderlatinx.org/vote (English). The process takes only a few minutes but can have a lasting impact on their communities.
