Poder Latinx Announces 2025 Poderosas Summit, Expanding to Four States for the First Time
The annual leadership event, traditionally held in Washington, D.C., will now bring new opportunities directly to young Latinas in four states, building grassroots power ahead of this year’s local and state elections, and the 2026 midterms.
NATIONWIDE — Poder Latinx is proud to announce that this year, the Poderosas Legislative Summit, the organization’s signature Latina leadership experience, has been reimagined with a bold regional format. For the first time, the Summit will come to four key states—California, Arizona, Georgia, and Texas—meeting young Latinas where they are and deepening civic engagement at the local level.
The following is the new 2025 Poderosas State Summit schedule:
Fresno, CA – August 14–15
Phoenix, AZ – September 15–16
Atlanta, GA – October 25-26
McAllen, TX – November 1–2
“Each region has its own story, but our mission is united: to equip young Latinas with the tools, networks, and confidence to lead boldly—at home, at the polls, and in their communities,” said Yadira Sanchez, Executive Director of Poder Latinx. “These summits go beyond workshops, —they are incubators for Latina power, civic action, and the future of our democracy.”
Launched in 2021, the Poderosas Summit has become a vital platform for uplifting, training, and connecting young Latina leaders committed to building grassroots power in their own communities. Previously hosted in Washington, D.C., and centered on federal engagement, the shift to a regional model will allow the summit’s energy, training, and sisterhood to reach deeper into communities on the frontlines of change and in key battleground areas.
The 2025 series, timed around key civic holidays, will feature dynamic sessions with elected officials, movement leaders, and policy experts. Attendees will engage in interactive workshops, storytelling circles, and strategy sessions focused on civic leadership, climate justice, voting rights, immigrant protections, and care infrastructure—all through a Latina-centered lens.
As attacks on democracy, reproductive rights, and immigrant and environmental justice escalate, Poder Latinx is doubling down on its investment in the leadership of young Latinas ready to shape the future.
More information on registration and featured speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
