PHOENIX - In 2015, the United Nations General Assembly declared Feb. 11th as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Poder Latinx will use this day to interview and uplift the voices of women of color with STEM backgrounds. Each panelist will reflect on the challenges they faced in higher education and how they promote climate change through their education. This discussion will outline the difficulties women and girls endure, the importance of representation, and the gender and racial pay disparities in the STEM field.
