ORLANDO - On January 5, the Biden administration announced an immigration initiative that would provide humanitarian parole to allow migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to have the authorization to come to the United States for up to two years and work. Migrants must have eligible sponsors already in the United States who can provide financial support, as well as secure their own airplane tickets and pass required background and health checks. The program also expels migrants from these countries that enter the United States illegally.
Poder Latinx will be presenting a conversation with immigration attorney, Aggie M. Chavez, to discuss this initiative in-depth and answer questions from community members to learn more about eligibility requirements.
This event is free, and space is limited. Refreshments and food will be provided at no cost. Early registration is encouraged; click here to sign up.
