energy bills tell a story. our vote has power!

Power-UP Your Vote! is the final phase of EcoPoder’s One Hot Summer campaign, connecting the energy and environmental issues affecting our families, from rising electricity bills and extreme heat to AI data centers and clean energy, with civic participation in the 2026 Midterm Elections.

Learn how decisions made by elected leaders and public agencies affect you, find resources to make a voting plan, and more! Because building a more affordable and resilient future starts with understanding our power, and using it.

Key Elections for Our Energy Future

In November, voters across the country will elect members of Congress who will help shape federal policy on energy, climate resilience, infrastructure, and household affordability. But in Arizona and Georgia, voters will also have an opportunity to vote in elections for state utility regulators, officials whose decisions can have a direct impact on electricity rates, energy infrastructure, clean energy investments, and consumer protections.

Your energy bill isn't shaped by just one decision, or one election. Knowing who makes energy policy is an important first step toward making your voice heard. And you don’t have to wait until November 3 to use that voice. Join communities across the country on Vote Early Day, October 24!

Vote Early Day

Vote Early Day is a nonpartisan movement that helps voters understand their options and make a plan to vote before Election Day. Voting early can help avoid last-minute problems, reduce long lines on Election Day, and give you more flexibility to make your voice heard. Because early voting options and rules vary by state, knowing when, where, and how you can vote early is an important part of making your voting plan.

This year, Poder Latinx is celebrating Vote Early Day across all seven of our states! Join us on October 24 as we help our communities get informed, get prepared, and make their voices heard early.
