Poder Latinx is a civic and social justice organization. Our vision is to build sustained civic engagement across the Latinx community, empowering individuals to become decision-makers by actively participating in our country’s democracy. We achieve this through non-partisan voter engagement programs, issue-based campaigns, leadership development, voting reform and protection initiatives, and narrative change work in Arizona, California, Georgia, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, and Washington State. This non-partisan, educational summit will bring Latinas from across the country, including Members of Congress, administration officials, and emerging and established civic and social justice leaders. Together, we will celebrate our collective contributions to the Latinx community and strategize on how to continue building upon this momentum. The Latinx community is the fastest-growing segment of the U.S. electorate and the country’s second-largest voter bloc by ethnicity. This summit will address the critical issues affecting our community and discuss the barriers to civic participation as we approach the 2024 Presidential elections. Most importantly, we will equip and inspire the next generation of Latina leaders to become impactful agents of change.

The Poderosas Legislative Summit, powered by Poder Latinx, is a dynamic gathering of Latina leaders from across the nation, including lawmakers, administration officials, and both emerging and established civic and social justice advocates. This summit is a celebration of our collective service to the Latinx community and a powerful platform to advance our shared goals.

Throughout this action-oriented event, we will tackle critical issues such as the environment, immigration, and the economy—examining their impacts on the Latinx community nationwide. We’ll also explore the barriers to civic participation as we approach the 2024 Presidential elections, provide training to empower youth and young Latinas as agents of change, and commit to actionable steps that drive transformative progress well beyond this moment.
