Poder Latinx is a civic and social justice organization. Our vision is to build political power for the Latinx community to become decision-makers in our country’s democracy to win on our issues at all levels. Our mission is to work to build a sustained progressive voting bloc of Latinxs in battleground states across the country.

Powered by Poder Latinx, the Poderosas Legislative Summit brings together Latinas from across the country, including elected officials, administration officials, and other emerging and established civic and social justice Latina leaders to celebrate and build upon our collective service to the Latinx community. At our summit, we will discuss key issues such as the environment, immigration, and the economy, and how they are affecting the lives of the Latinx community across the country, examine the barriers we will face ahead of the 2024 elections, train youth and young Latinas to become agents of change, and commit to impactful actions and transformative change beyond the moment.

The Poderosas Legislative Summit 2024 will be hosted at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) building, 1 M Street SE, Washington, D.C., 20003.

The summit will run from Monday, September 23rd to Tuesday, September 24th.

This year, the summit will have a registration fee. Tickets are priced at $200 per person for professionals and $150 per person for students. Get your ticket for both days, here.

The Poderosas Legislative Summit 2024 is a curated space to bring together people who identify as Latina/x/e.

The Summit brings together Latinas from across the country, including elected officials, administration officials, and other emerging and established civic and social justice Latina leaders to celebrate and build upon our collective service to the Latinx community. By facilitating this space, Latinx people will be able to network with other Latinas who made their careers in the civic engagement space and gain new professional skills to take back to their communities.

Absolutely! You do not need to be an eligible voter to be a community leader. Civic participation comes in all ways, and we'd love to have you be a part of this event to inspire you and give you the tools to motivate your community to show up and vote.

Yes, if you are located in the United States you are more than welcome to join.

This event is for anyone over the age of 18 who identifies as Latina/x/e.

As alcohol will be served during the reception, we will be checking IDs to verify those over the age of 21.

We will not be providing childcare at this event.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide childcare for this event.

We encourage our attendees to dress business casual. Photographers will be present at the event to capture pictures, and we will provide opportunities on-site to take professional headshots.

Avoid: Negative messages or offensive language, uncomfortable shoes, workout apparel, or ripped clothing articles. Clothing promoting alcohol and/or drugs are not allowed. Due to the presence of elected officials at this nonpartisan event, political endorsements or affiliations are strictly prohibited.

While we are excited to be hosting our Summit in Washington DC, we understand not everyone may have the capabilities to attend. Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have a virtual option for the Summit.
