Norberto Gonzalez (he/him)
California State Program Director
Norberto Gonzalez was born in Michoacan, Mexico, moved to Beaumont, CA, with his parents, Manuel and Bertha as an infant. Today, he proudly calls Hanford, CA, the agricultural heartland of California, his home. Rooted in his upbringing and driven by a commitment to equity and inclusion, Norberto has actively volunteered for various immigrant and LGBTQ rights and causes throughout his life.
During his academic pursuit of a BA in Psychology from the University of California San Diego, Norberto found himself immersed in the vibrant political landscape of California. His involvement in a highlighted congressional race opened the door to a tenure in campaign work that has since spanned across the state.
From leading races for Community College Trustees to Mayorships, State Assembly seats, and Congressional races, Norberto's dedication to ensuring marginalized and underrepresented communities are engaged has remained steadfast. Whether organizing community forums, implementing targeted outreach initiatives, or advocating for inclusive policies, Norberto has consistently prioritized amplifying the voices of those often sidelined in the political process.
His experiences have not only shaped his professional trajectory but have also deepened his understanding of the intersectionality of social justice issues. Through his work, Norberto strives to create spaces where all individuals, regardless of background or status, feel empowered to participate in shaping their communities and futures.
