Adonias Arevalo, a Salvadoran immigrant and DACA recipient raised in Houston, TX, has firsthand experience with the challenges of living undocumented in the U.S. Over his fifteen-year career, he has excelled in various community organizing and political roles. He managed Baker Ripley, Houston's largest community center, and served as a National Organizer at United We Dream, where he led the DACA/DAPA implementation program in the South, expanded regional affiliates, and established Texas affiliates for state legislative mobilization. Adonias' notable achievements include playing a key role in electing a new Sheriff in Harris County to end the 287(g) program, advancing in-state tuition for Dreamers, and managing funding for local organizations at Valley of the Sun United Way in Arizona. He also led the successful "Driver Licenses for Dreamers" lawsuit as Campaign Manager for the Arizona Dream Act Coalition. As a founding member of Poder Latinx, Adonias served as the first Arizona State Director and later as National Organizing Director, significantly impacting civic engagement, particularly during the 2020 elections. For the past three years, he has been an On-Air Talent and Political Analyst for Televisa Univision's late-night show, LĂnea de Fuego, honing his skills in public communication and political analysis. Throughout his career, Adonias has received several awards, including the GLAAD "En sus Palabras" Award, Halliburton Award (2012), NFL Houston Hero Award (2013), National Leadership LGBTQ Award (2015), Hispanic Leadership Council Arizona Award (2018), ASU Fellowship Award for Community Participatory Research Project to End Homelessness (2019), and Mayor Phil Gordon Award by Phoenix Pride (2020).
