Our organization has worked diligently to build a prominent network of Latina leaders and civic minded Latinas paving the way for Latinxs to become decision-makers in our country’s democracy and equip more Latinxs to become agents of change now. This non-partisan and educational summit convenes Latinas from across the country, including Members of Congress, administration officials, and emerging and established civic and social justice leaders to celebrate and build upon our collective service to the Latinx community. During this important event, we will build upon the momentum of the Latinx community, the fastest-growing segment of the U.S electorate and the country’s second-largest voter bloc by ethnicity, and bring together current and future community leaders to address the existing gaps preventing our community from achieving its full potential. We will discuss critical issues affecting the lives of the Latinx community across the country, examine the barriers to civic participation that we will face ahead of the 2024 Presidential elections, and train and inspire the next generation of Latina leaders to become impactful agents of change.

ABOUT THE PODEROSAS LEGISLATIVE SUMMIT 2023

The Poderosas Legislative Summit is powered by Poder Latinx, and it brings together Latinas from across the country, including law makers, administration officials, and other emerging and established civic and social justice Latina leaders, to celebrate and build upon our collective service to the Latinx community. At our action-oriented summit, we will discuss key issues such as the environment, immigration, and the economy, and how they are affecting the lives of the Latinx community across the country, examine the barriers to civic participation that we will face ahead of the 2024 midterm elections, train youth and young Latinas to become agents of change, and commit to impactful actions and transformative change beyond the moment.
